Odie

ODIE: An Original Screenplay Written and Directed by Nick Barr
Odie Harper can fix anything. Busted pipes, broken locks, wiring that hasn't worked since 1987. Give him the right tools and a few hours and he'll leave whatever you hand him better than he found it.
His own life is another story.
Odie is a single-day odyssey set on the streets of Austin, Texas. After 294 days on a shelter waitlist, Odie finally has a bed with his name on it. All he has to do is show up before curfew. What follows is one of the most human days you'll ever watch someone survive.
In the tradition of Tangerine and The Florida Project, this is a film about the gap between who a person is and what the world decides they're worth. Odie never lost his competence. He never lost his pride. He just lost the structures that made those things visible. This story is about what it takes to reclaim them.
The screenplay is written and directed by Nick Barr, starring Dean Stanfield, and produced under Goldsmith Pictures. Filming begins in Austin, May 2026.
This is a fundraiser. Every copy sold goes directly toward making this film. You're not buying a script. You're buying into a movie that needs to exist. We appreciate the support more than we can say in a product description.
